The preservation of historical German architecture is very important in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany. This is particularly apparent to a student studying abroad from the United States. "Clausnizerhaus" is the product of much historical research of a building in the town's Marienplatz. It's history is traced through time from original drawings from the present to 1906, 1735, and finally 1592. "Experimental Walk" is a personal reflection walk through the town of Schwäbisch Hall. The audio comes from the actual locations.
telephone
"Telephone" is used as a metaphor for how cultural characteristics and ideas disperse and merge. Language
symbolizes culture. The characters interact much like in the children’s game “telephone”, in which one player whispers a
phrase to the next player and that player to the next. The last player in the game announces the
resulting phrase which may greatly differ from the initial player’s phrase. “Telephone” was completed as a bachelor of arts thesis project in December 2007. (Nominated in the 2009 Rosebud Film Festival and invitational screening at the 2009 Alexandria Film Festival)
